There are a lot of things that aren’t right about this Thanksgiving.  Normally on this day, at this time Paul and I have just finished the preparations for tomorrow.  I’ve finished my pies and he’s got everything prepped.  The house is clean and we’ve just celebrated with a glass of wine.  While we’ll say a thanks for friends and food before we dine tomorrow, but a lot of my gratitude usually gets lost in all of the doing before and on the actual day. As I’m sure you can imagine, this year is atypical in many, many ways.  Lately, I’m not really...

Catching Up

First of all, if you’re here from the Star Tribune article, sign up for our RSS feed, or friend us on Facebook to get the latest updates.  Thanks. I haven’t updated in two weeks, and it’s starting to get in the way of my personal relationships.  Now, instead of saying “Hi, how are you?”, people immediately start with, “Why haven’t you updated the blog?!” There are several reasons, but the primary one is connectivity.  In the past few weeks I’ve been staying at the house during the week.  The house has temporary electrical service, but...
